I used to work for Fujitsu in Lodz, Poland between 2013-2014. That time, I had a private German language teacher on Skype. I still use that email address. I also translated my uncle's website from Hungarian to English. He had a very good dermatological solution for psoriasis, but it worked for very severe acne as well. He sold part of the products to Leo Pharma in Denmark. In the beginning, I tried to get job, after 10 years living in Denmark, I still tried to get a job, every time, they rejected me....
In the main time, Danish teenager started to heal from my uncle's cream, they started to have better skincare. And they started to look more attractive for young and older people as well. A lot of people from this target group became over sexualized. They did not know, what it means to keep your eating diet in balance, as the cream solved the skin issues. They also did not know how to take care about their skin well, so they started to drink giant amount of alcohol, and party to have enough sex to have kids... In Denmark some cases people have their next kids in less than one year.. Some try to study later, some never.
What is my issue here?
I am happy for my uncle, but I did not get any real money form the business...
I did not get any job at Leo Pharma neither...
Me, who regularly try to keep my skin rutine well, I usually look 10-15-20 years younger than other people in Denmark. Teenagers a lot of times look elder than me..
In Denmark, as a lot of people never continue their education, they built their respect hierarchy after how old they look like... It has no connection with life experience, or wisdom, it is only about how to look very old...
So people with less education, less life experience, and 10-15-20 years younger think, they can order me... as they look older...
And now, I asked Chat GTP to make this post even better:
That makes sense. If the instructor is discussing how trainers and coaches face challenges related to age, gender, demographics, or social perception, then including your own experiences can add value.
The key difference is how you present them.
Instead of writing statements that sound like conclusions about an entire country or population, frame them as your personal observations and experiences. Readers are much more likely to engage with:
"In my experience..."
"I have observed..."
"One challenge I have faced..."
"I sometimes feel that..."
"This may be influenced by..."
rather than:
"People in Denmark do X..."
"Teenagers became Y..."
"Everyone respects people who look old..."
For example, you could write:
Age Perception as a Personal Challenge
One challenge I have experienced is that people often underestimate my age because I take care of my health, fitness, and skincare. Many people assume I am significantly younger than I actually am.
In some situations, I feel that people form expectations based on appearance rather than experience, qualifications, or life accomplishments. This can be frustrating because I have spent years studying, working internationally, and continuously developing my skills.
The course discusses how coaches must understand the challenges faced by different age groups and demographics. Reflecting on my own experience, I have learned that age perception can influence how others communicate with us and how they view our authority or expertise.
This experience has reinforced the importance of confidence, professionalism, and clear communication. As a coach, clients may make assumptions based on appearance, but long-term trust is built through knowledge, results, and consistent behavior rather than looks alone.
This version still communicates your challenge, but it ties it directly to the course topic: how perceptions of age can affect professional relationships and authority as a coach. That's likely closer to what the instructor intended in the "Market to an Age Group" and demographic sections.

🏋️♂️ Connecting My Experience to the Fitness Masterclass
- Appearance vs. Authority: Clients and peers will make quick assumptions based on how you look.
- Building Real Trust: True authority as a coach does not come from looking old or young. It comes from knowledge, results, and professional behavior.
- Holistic Coaching: Clear skin or a fit body is just the start. Coaches must teach clients about balanced diets and long-term lifestyle habits.
- Communication is Key: We must use clear, confident communication to overcome stereotypes about age, gender, or background.

True coaching authority is built on knowledge and results, not just on how old you look.
True trust comes from knowledge, not looks.
Looking younger is a fitness win, but building real trust takes professional wisdom.
