Anikó Kövérné Fejes received a lifetime achievement award

The general assembly of the Hungarian National Skating Association re-elected Lajos Kósa as president for another four years.

Anikó Kövérné Fejes, a physical education teacher and speed skating coach from Debrecen who won the Alfréd Hajós award, has received a prestigious award. The tireless professional has been an active player in Debrecen's sports life since 1983, in the fields of elite sports, school physical education and leisure sports. She has achieved outstanding results in the education of young speed skaters. Her students have won championship titles at the national speed skating student Olympics, junior and adult competitions, and have represented our city at numerous international competitions. She actively represents her love of sport and healthy lifestyle at all major events. Anikó has been a regular member of the Organizing Committee of the Debrecen World Speed ​​Skating Championships in recent years, and she is currently enthusiastically and with her expertise helping the work of the speed skating department of the Debrecen Sports Centre-Sport School.

Mihály Orendi, who was previously the managing director of the Debrecen Sports Center for around fifteen years, also received a lifetime achievement award.  

The last item on the agenda of the general meeting was the election of the new presidency. By unanimous decision, Lajos Kósa remained the president of the Hungarian National Skating Association. The presidency is composed of Erika Kendelényi-Gulyás, dr. Balázs Kövér, Csaba Bálint, Dr. István Fiák, Mihály Orendi, Szilárd Tóth, György Elek, and Péter Darázs.
